If we were to have a Frappe…

So I’m not a coffee drinker per say in the traditional sense. I’m a Frappe sorta girl that likes her limited amount of coffee blended with ice and loaded with whipped cream on top, and sometimes a touch of caramel to top it off.

So if you and I were to have a frappe together, here’s what I’d say…

I’d tell you that November was an absolutely crazy month. That I did a ton of writing, but didn’t meet my goal. That I managed to get a good start on Awakening, 34K words, but not the 50K I was shooting for. I’d tell you that while I wanted to write the last week of November, it just wasn’t possible.

I’d tell that I was able to spend time with my oldest son while he was home from ISU. That my husband and youngest were home too and I couldn’t resist the urge to be with them. That the entire week was filled with activities, activities that didn’t cost $, but were enjoyable just the same.

I’d tell you that my mom celebrated her 70th birthday the day before Thanksgiving and I had a dinner party for her. I made everything from scratch…including the apple pie that turned out to be overloaded with too much cinnamon. Something about the four tablespoons I added instead of the four teaspoons I should have.

I’d tell you that I made other dishes for Thanksgiving, including rolls that somehow fell flat. That we spent the day with my parents stuffing ourselves with turkey and all the trimmings. Then later how we ate pie and played games till our sides hurt from laughing.

I’d also tell you of the weekend spent at home in my super comfy lounge pants with nothing but movies and snuggle time with the hubby. That it was a rarity to be able to have this much time together since he works such long hours, that he needed a break to just slow down and re-coupe.

I’d also tell you that I’m ready to do the mad push again to write as much of Awakening as I can before the holidays hit. That I’ll also be releasing the second part of Fated to keep my hungry fans happy.

I’d also tell you that I am extremely grateful for all of you, for all the love and support you provided during November and all the months prior. I’d tell you that you are the best fans I could ever have, that you are amazing, and I love you all.

That’s what I’d tell you if I were to have a frappe with you…

  1. I would also order a caramel frap but with caramel walls (I have a very sweet tooth. I thought I pulled it out! Wrong tooth!). 34k words?! With all that was going on last month? Girl you should feel good! Yeah okay you didn't meet your goal of 50k but don't feel to bad. 34k is still freaking amazing!!! And yeah I saw that pic of you and your son. You must be such a proud mommy! Who wouldn't in their right mind choose to keep writing instead of spending some qt time with their college son? I mean really! Lol And with hubby and other son being there just as well why not take advantage of the imporatant men in your life and do something as a family. I'm glad you all had a good time. Oh tell mom I said Hau'oli la hanau! That's happy birthday in Hawaiian. And lets not go there with Thanksgiving! Gosh its always one of the craziest holidays. Hahaha you put 4 tbl of cinnamon instead of 4tsp? Hahahaha….sorry to be laughing at your expense but that is hilarious! I can just imagine the look on everyone's face when theyhad a piece. Hahahaha I'm so happy to hear that you and your hubby got to have some much needed alone time together. And what is better then snuggling to a good movie? And who's really watching the movie anyways. Lol Thank you thank you Lisa for getting Fated 2 out! I can't wait for Awakening but at least Fated is being released soon! And sister believe me when I say that I love you too! You're an awesome person who does a pretty dang good job with juggling everything! So don't sweat it Lisa!! You're AWESOME! Oh and the frappes were your treat right? Hahaha…we need to do this again! Well talk to you later! Give my aloha to the family!!!

  2. Lisa, I'd have to drink a mocha frappe. That's my fave! 34K is a great accomplishment and nothing to feel ashamed of. NaNoWriMo comes at such an awkward time, it's a wonder anyone hits their word count goal. I'm only 13K into my NaNo novel, so I really missed the mark. I'm glad you were able to have some quality time with your family. Enjoy the holiday season!
