A New Year, New Goals and FREE Books

Happy New Year…a couple days late!

I can’t believe 2017 is already here, can you? I’m not sure where 2016 went so quickly, but I know one thing…I’ve been super busy! As a matter of fact, as I was ending  2016, I decided that this year is going to be the year of significant accomplishments. I try not to make New Year Resolutions, as they typically fail quickly, so instead I try to set up things I’d like to accomplish for the coming year. I know, it sounds the same, but in my mind they’re different. They’re different because I’m not going to injure myself trying to make them happen. Things like getting my son married in April, doing some home improvements, figuring out new ways to reach my readers and finishing new books. Of course, I try not to be too hard on myself because as we all know, life gets in the way sometimes…like say getting Confessions out before the end of 2016.

Life as in my oldest son, going in for a heart procedure in December for his PSVT. The younger one driving home from college on dangerous snow packed mountain roads because he wanted to be there for his brother.

We had quite the group in the waiting room, about twelve of us in total and then those that stopped by too.

And of course, we had to have some fun with it as a stress release. We call him Superman because, just like his dad, they look like Clark Kent with their dark hair, blue eyes, and glasses.

He had to stay overnight, but as you can see here, he and his fiance had lots of smiles to spare.

Life as in the holidays and saying goodbye to my family members as they move to North Carolina to start a new chapter in their life…

Life as in delivering a litter of puppies…

To say I’m a little behind on things in my writing world has just become another fact of life for me. Always a work in progress.

So moving on to accomplishments I’m shooting for in my author life is getting you, my readers, hooked up with new and awesome reading material while I work away on my own. I’ve been lucky to be involved with some pretty great indie authors, and they want to do the same thing!

What does this mean to you? This means that in the month of January, and the rest of the year, I’m going to be sending you links to find great reads. The first two coming in this post!
