October – Indie Author Month!

Did you know that October has been set aside as Indie Author Month and it isn’t just the Indie Author’s celebrating? It’s places like Amazon and the like too! Amazon even created a special landing page in honor of it! How cool is that?

Click on the picture, and it’ll take you to Amazon’s landing page for the entire month!

What to know what else is pretty cool? Libraries across the country are celebrating Indie Authors on October 8! Yup, it’s the first ever Indie Author Day at your local library! For me, it’s the Boise Public Library, and I’m a guest panel speaker!! Can you believe it? It’s like they think I know something… lol

What a great time to be an Indie Author, right? Just even a few years ago when I would tell people what I did and that I was self-published I’d get that second take, like really? Luckily for me, I’ve had huge support from family and friends who think it’s totally awesome that I was able to publish my books this way. I know not everyone is so lucky, so I do count my blessings for the support I have received and attributed part of my success to it as well. You know–word of mouth.

Anyway, you want to know what’s the best way to celebrate Indie Author Month in October besides coming to the Boise Public Library on Saturday, October 8 and meeting me? Spread the love! Yup, talk about those Indie Authors you love, find more and support them financially by purchasing an Indie book this month.

Indie Author Month is all about spreading the love!
